My name is Ester, and I am a professional illustrator and graphic designer. I hope you have enjoyed viewing my online store Mosaic Macaw<\/strong>, and my online Portfolio<\/strong>, and have gained an insight into my illustration practice and graphic design experience.<\/p> I am on a mission to raise awareness and funds for rare, vulnerable and endangered species, whilst providing sustainable products that are a better choice for planet Earth. 10% of the price of my Mosaic Macaw store products will go to wildlife conservation organisations.<\/p> Following news stories and scientific debate about climate change and the plight of rare and endangered species, including ourselves and mental health, my illustration practice explores our relationship with nature. Combining my hand-made illustration with my digital illustration skills, I create layered metaphors and narratives using mixed media. These can include bespoke three-dimensional formats or artefacts, which also complete the metaphor and communicate the message.<\/p> As well as illustrating rare and endangered species and their habitats, I also illustrate future worlds from the perspective of pollinators and sustainable living. Taking part in UK conservation surveys for the Butterfly Organisation and the Natural History Museum, I play an active role in aiding our understanding of our impact on pollinators.<\/p> Applying my illustration and graphic design practice to many different narrative forms and formats, in print and online, I can provide: editorial illustration and design, information design, corporate and brand identities, visual language systems, book covers, children\u2019s picture books, surface pattern, packaging, exhibition and products that provide better environmentally friendly consumer choices or solutions.<\/p> I graduated with an Illustration MA with Distinction from Falmouth University, and I have 25 years of graphic design experience, after graduating with a BA (Hons) Degree in Visual Communication Design, from Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication.
